Just to add to what Shawn says:
1. a martial artist over a period of his long career imbibes various attributes of various art forms. 
2. At some point in time he starts cutting accross them &amp; starts visualising every element in day to day life as a martial art form, be it walking , sitting or even talking.
3. types &amp; categories of martial arts then hold no meaning &amp; what is important is the result which comes out of the aptitude so developed.
